GEG Classic for 2023 will be played over two days (36 holes) at the South Pines and Maffra Golf Clubs.

The weekend of golf, 25/26 March 2023, will have over $3,000 in prizes with $200 for the first hole in one recorded also on offer.

Golf East Gippsland Inc will hold its Annual General Meeting at the Heyfield GC on Sunday 12th February, commencing 9.30am

Gippsland Sports Academy will be running a Golf Program in 2023 with Richard Cooney as Head Coach. This is a wonderful opportunity for junior golfers(12 to 18 years of age) in Gippsland to participate in a High Performance program.

The 3 winners of the Salvers from the final game of the season played on the 21/11/2022 at Bairnsdale. Strong wind made conditions very trying but it didn’t deter those attending having a great day..

Sadly Country Week has been cancelled after torrential rain hit the Shepparton area over night.

With two days still to play it was decided the courses were too wet and the event was cancelled much to the disappointment of our teams that had given up their free time and travelled a long distance to represent our District.

Next year the event will be held in West Gippsland.

The 2022 Country week campaign kicks off next Monday at Shepparton.

This is the first time it is being played outside of Metropolitan Melbourne.

The Victorian Country Regions golf championships was played at the Bendigo & Neanger Park Golf Clubs on the 6th & 7th August.

Competing under a new format East, West & South Gippsland combined to form a Super Gippsland team. We congratulate Bairnsdale GC member Maddison Kelly for competing in this event. Maddy finished 16th overall in the girls individual section (10th Nett).

was a great experience for Maddi to play in a two day event on different courses to what she is accustomed to and this will help her improve as she continues her golfing journey. Well done Maddi.

Today marked the final round of GEG Ladies Pennant Season for 2022 with the Finalists decided.

In Division 1, Lakes Entrance who remained undefeated for the season will take on the Bairnsdale # 1 team

Division 2 should be a very tight affair with Heyfield V Bairnsdale. Only two games separated these teams.

Division 3 has the undefeated Sale team take on Kings Cove #1 - These were the two standout teams for Div 3 and the final promises to go down to the wire.

FINALS WILL BE PLAYED AT SALE GOLF CLUB ON MONDAY 6TH JUNE COMMENCING 9:30AM

One of the most anticipated tournaments of the year must be the Tambo Valley Spring Tournament in October

The Committee has confirmed that the Tournament will go ahead this year from Wednesday 12th to Sunday 16th October.

Full details will be posted after the 18th September so be on the lookout for entry forms after that date. Fields fill very quickly for this tournament so mark your diaries.
