Ladies Pennant Finalists Decided
After 5 rounds of Pennant, the finalists have been decided.
Lakes Entrance will play Maffra #1 in the Division One final - this game will be a repeat of today’s game that was held at the South Pines GC where Lakes Entrance won 3-2. With the final to be played on Maffra’s home track, the final promises to be a beauty.
Division 2 will be contested by Maffra & Sale. - In their Round 4 meeting at Newry, Maffra defeated Sale 3-2 and on their home track for the final will be hard to beat.
Division 3 will be between Sale & Bairnsdale after third placed Maffra lost to the bottom team Yarram, putting them out of final contention. This is another contest that will be close, with Sale winning their previous encounter 3-2.
Division 4 will be contested between the the Lakes Entrance teams - In their contest during the season, #1 team defeated #2 5 nil but anything can happen in handicap matchplay. Either way, they will be celebrating in Lakes Entrance.
Good luck to all the teams.

No more scrapes at Buchan Valley!
As one of only two member clubs in Golf East Gippsland that had sand scrape ‘greens’, the Buchan Valley GC have now converted to synthetic grass.
The greens are small and contoured around the edges, and while there is still some growth needed on the fringes, the result is spectacular and will be a popular decision for members and visitors alike.
With subtle breaks, the greens are lightening fast, a far cry from the scrapes. However, a deft short game is required if you wish to score well here.
Venture out to Buchan Valley and enjoy a unique golf course - Green fees are $15 for 18 and $10 for 9 on this 9 hole layout with alternate tee blocks.
Buchan Valley will hold their two day tournament on the 29th & 30th May
